The SSLG primary is the highest governing body for students in Philippine high school. It is a student-led organization established to represent the interest of the student body and promotes the rights welfare. The SSLG objectives are aligned with the Department of Education DEPED mission and core values, emphasizing academic excellence, social responsibility, and national development. Like promoting proactive citizenship, the sslg encourage students to be active and engaged members of their communities. It seeks to instill in them a sense of civic duty and responsibility, motivating them to contribute to national development. It also emphasizes the importance of patriotism and national pride. Its strives to develop in students a deep appreciation for their country’s history.
