The Saug Artisan Integrated Development Association (SAIDA), founded in 1971 in Saug, Bayacabac, Maribojoc, Bohol, started as a community-focused organization aimed at fostering local development. Over the years, the group evolved into the Saug Young Dreamers Association (SYDA) in 1980, and it remains an influential force in the community today. The association focuses on empowering the youth, preserving local culture, and promoting sustainable development through various programs and initiatives. It serves as a platform for community engagement and personal growth, contributing significantly to the social and economic progress of the area. Objectives: 1. Youth Empowerment: To engage and inspire the younger generation, providing opportunities for leadership, education, and skill-building. 2. Health and Well-being Initiatives: To organize programs that promote physical, mental and emotional well-being for young people, fostering a healthy, balanced lifestyle. 3. Collaboration and Networking: To build partnerships with other organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders to amplify impact and share resources. 4. Cultural Preservation: To promote and preserve the unique traditions and heritage of the local community, fostering pride and identity. 5. Environmental Sustainability: To encourage environmentally-friendly practices and sustainable development methods to ensure long-term growth for future generations. By focusing on these objectives, the Saug Young Dreamers Association aims to empower the youth as change-makers, ready to contribute positively to the future of their community and beyond.
