The Tagba-o National High School - Supreme Secondary Learner Government (TNHS-SSLG) is the foremost co-curricular student organization of Tagbao National High School (TNHS) authorized to operate and implement pertinent programs, projects and activities in schools nationwide under the supervision of the Department of Education (DepEd). This is in accordance with the Republic Act (RA) 9155, otherwise known as the Governance of Basic Education Act of 2001, DepEd Order 47, s. 2014, and other pertinent orders, memoranda as set forth by DepEd. The TNHS-SSLG is one of the mountainous schools of under the South District - 8, Division of Cebu City, DepEd Region 7 and it is in Sitio Proper, Barangay Tagba-o, Cebu City, Cebu. It actively participates in various school-based and division-based events and programs. The objectives of TNHS-SSLG, aligned with the DepEd core values, can be summarized as follows: • Promote a Culture of Service: Foster a spirit of community engagement and volunteerism among students, encouraging them to participate in school and community service projects that embody the value of Makatao. • Enhance Environmental Awareness: Implement programs that educate students on environmental sustainability and conservation, reflecting the core value of Makakalikasan by promoting responsible stewardship of natural resources. • Encourage National Pride and Civic Responsibility: Develop initiatives that instill a sense of nationalism and civic duty in students, ensuring they contribute positively to society, which aligns with the value of Makabansa. • Support Spiritual and Moral Development: Organize activities that nurture students' spiritual growth and ethical values, in line with the core value of Maka-Diyos, fostering a holistic approach to education. • Facilitate Inclusive Learning Opportunities: Create an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs and promotes equity among students, ensuring that every learner has access to quality education as emphasized in DepEd's mission.
