Education, Governance, Environment
The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) of Manhilo National High School serves as the highest governing student council, embodying the principles of student leadership and governance. It is led by a president and supported by 16 other officers, with guidance from one SSLG adviser. As of the school 2024-2025, the SSLG has 466 registered members, making it a significant entity in promoting student participation and engagement within the school community. The main objectives of the SSLG include service, leadership, and environmental stewardship. These goals are aligned with the broader mission of student governments in the Philippines, which aim to develop students into responsible leaders and citizens through participative democracy and community service. The SSLG plays a crucial role in organizing activities and projects that enhance student life, promote academic excellence, and address social and environmental issues relevant to the school and its surrounding.
