Active Citizenship
The Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) at Matuguinao National High School is an organization dedicated to empowering young girls by promoting leadership, community service, and personal growth. As part of national GSP, this chapter encourages students to develop essential life skills, build character, and contribute meaningfully to their school and community. The Organization provides a platform for girls to engage in various activities, including leadership training, environmental projects, and community outreach. Through these activities, members learn valuable skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and effective communication, all while fostering a sense of responsibility and social awareness. Objectives: 1.Leadership Development: To provide opportunities for girls to enhance their leadership skills through hands-on experiences and mentorship. 2.Community Engagement: To encourage active participation in social responsibility and service projects, such as environmental initiatives and charity work. 3.Character Building: To instill core values such as integrity, respect, and responsibility through the Girls Scout Promise and Law. 4.Environmental Awareness: To promote sustainability and environmental care through projects like tree planting and community clean-ups. 5.Skills Enhancement: To teach practical skills, including first aid, teamwork, and problem-solving, preparing girls for future challenges. Through these objectives, the GSP Matuguinao chapter helps shape confident, responsible, and capable young women who are ready to lead and serve their community.
