The Community Press Team of Amucao National High School – Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) is a student-led initiative dedicated to responsible and ethical journalism. Formed through a partnership with Barangay Amucao, Tarlac City, the team serves as a vital platform for news coverage and media publication that highlights community events, projects, and concerns. This initiative fosters transparency, civic engagement, and youth participation in governance while ensuring the protection, welfare, and academic priorities of student journalists. Objectives: 1. Promote Responsible Journalism – Uphold ethical and accurate reporting on barangay events to foster transparency and accountability in local governance. 2. Encourage Active Citizenship – Engage student journalists in community affairs, nurturing civic responsibility and youth participation in public discourse. 3. Enhance Information Dissemination – Provide timely and relevant news coverage through newsletters and media publications to keep residents informed. 4. Support Holistic Student Development – Offer hands-on experience in journalism while ensuring academic priorities and the safety of student journalists are upheld. 5. Strengthen Community-School Collaboration – Foster a strong partnership between the barangay and the school to support ethical media practices and youth-led initiatives.
