BARKADA KONTRA DROGA (BKD) is a school-based organization that focuses on preventing drug abuse among students. It aims to raise awareness about the danger of drug use and encourages young people to make healthy, drug-free choices. By creating a supportive peer environment, BKD empowers students to influence one another positively and to promote responsible behaviors within their schools. Objectives of Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) 1. Drug Abuse Prevention: BKD educates students about the harmful effects of drugs through seminars, workshops, and equips them with the knowledge to make informed decisions. 2. Promote Healthy Lifestyles: The organization offers alternative activities such as sports and arts to engage students in positive, drug-free activities that enhance their physical and mental well-being. 3. Peer Support and Leadership: BKD fosters leadership skills among students, encouraging them to become role models who promote drug-free living. Peer influence plays a key role in maintaining a supportive environment. 4. Community Collaboration: BKD works with school authorities, parents, and local communities to strengthen the program’s reach and ensure a unified approach to drug prevention.
