Environment

CATHS-MAIN’s Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) of Central Azucarera de Tarlac High School - Main is a student-led organization dedicated to promoting environmental consciousness, sustainable practices, and active involvement in ecological preservation within the school and the community. Established on June 22, 2018, CATHS-Main's YES-O serves as a platform for young leaders to champion environmental causes and encourage a culture of care and accountability for nature. Through various eco-friendly initiatives, the organization empowers students to take meaningful action in addressing environmental challenges. YES-O actively collaborates with the school administration, local government units, and other environmental partners to carry out impactful programs such as clean-up drives, tree planting, waste segregation campaigns, and awareness activities. These efforts aim to foster a greener and healthier environment for all. Objectives: To strengthen students’ leadership and advocacy skills through environmental programs. To encourage proper waste management through recycling and segregation efforts. To lead tree planting, gardening, and greening projects for environmental protection. To raise awareness on climate change, biodiversity, and sustainable living through educational campaigns. To partner with local government and the school in implementing community-based environmental projects. To cultivate a strong sense of environmental responsibility and stewardship among students.
