The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) is a student-led organization that plays a vital role in promoting student engagement, leadership, and governance within secondary schools. As a dynamic and influential group, the SSLG encapsulates various projects, programs, and activities that align with the Department of Education's (DepEd) core values. The SSLG's initiatives are guided by the DepEd's core values of Maka-Diyos, Maka-Tao, Makakalikasan, and Makabansa. These values serve as the foundation for the organization's projects, which aim to foster a sense of responsibility, patriotism, and social awareness among students. Through its programs and activities, the SSLG promotes student participation, creativity, and critical thinking. For instance, the organization may launch environmental projects that promote Makakalikasan, or initiate community service initiatives that embody Maka-Tao. By doing so, the SSLG empowers students to become active citizens and leaders who are committed to making a positive impact in their communities. Overall, the SSLG is a vibrant and effective organization that enhances student engagement, leadership, and governance in secondary schools. By upholding the DepEd's core values, the SSLG inspires students to become responsible, compassionate, and patriotic individuals who are equipped to make a difference in the world. The SSLG are guided with this objectives: Uphold the values, principles and ideals of the Department of Education Empower the learners to strive for excellence in the academics, leadership, and social responsibility Encourage the learners to become proactive members of the society Lead learners in developing passionate love of country, values and competencies that will enable them to realize their full potentials and to contribute meaningfully to building the nation Represent the learners in the school governing council pertaining to the learners’ concern Serve, protect, and promote the rights and welfare of every learner.
