The Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) program, established by the dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), is a peer-based preventive education and information initiative aimed at countering the dangers and destructive effects of drug abuse. Its primary goal is to empower individuals to lead healthy, drug-free, and productive lives. Objectives of the BKD Program: 1. Promote People Empowerment: Encourage individuals to adopt healthy lifestyles free from drug abuse. 2. Develop Young Leaders: Foster a new generation of young leaders with a strong sense of civic responsibility and commitment to community service. 3. Enhance Peer Support: Utilize peer influence to disseminate accurate information about the dangers of drug abuse and promote positive behaviors.
