The Barkada Kontra Bisyo (BKB) (formerly Barkada Kontra Droga - BKD) is a youth-led advocacy program at Sapang Maragul Integrated School dedicated to promoting a healthy, drug-free, and vice-free lifestyle among students, anchored in the core values of the Department of Education: Maka-Diyos, Maka-Tao, Maka-Kalikasan, and Maka- Bansa. Through peer education, community engagement, and positive reinforcement, the program empowers young individuals to make informed choices, resist negative influences, and develop productive habits. The BKB is committed to nurturing a sense of responsibility, integrity, and respect among its members. United in this mission, the BKB strives to create a safer, healthier, and more harmonious society for all. The BKB aims to raise awareness among students and the community by providing accurate and relevant information about the dangers of drug abuse, smoking, alcohol, and other harmful vices. This includes organizing seminars, forums, and classroom discussions led by experts, law enforcement agencies, and health professionals. The organization will also utilize campaign materials such as posters, social media, and other creative platforms to disseminate information effectively. Furthermore, the BKB shall actively engage students in the fight against substance abuse and unhealthy habits, BKB will implement various programs such as anti-drug and anti-vice campaigns, youth leadership training, sports and wellness activities, and community outreach initiatives. These activities will serve as positive alternatives that help students develop life skills, boost self-confidence, and strengthen their commitment to living a drug-free lifestyle.
