Social Inclusion and Equity, Active Citizenship

The mission of this organization is to help girls and young women realize the ideals of womanhood and prepare themselves for their responsibilities in the home, the nation, and the world community. The GSP Senior and Cadet Planning Board - Virac Chapter shall be guided by the following principles: 1. The moral and spiritual motivation is the underlying force in Girl Scouting. 2. The Girl Scout Movement is open to all girls and young women, as well as adults, who accept the Girl Scout Promise and Law. 3. The strength of the Girl Scout Movement rests on the voluntary leadership of its adult members, and the ultimate responsibility for the Movement rests with them. 4. Democratic processes shall guide all Girl Scout activities. 5. The Girl Scout Movement is an independent and voluntary, nonstock, nonprofit, nonsectarian, nonpolitical entity with responsibilities and obligations in nation-building. 6. The Girl Scouts of the Philippines promotes and maintains cooperative relationships with other entities, national and international, public and private, whose ideals and purposes are in accord with those of Girl Scouting.
