The Association of Physical Therapy Students – Northwestern University (APTS-NWU) is the official student organization representing the Physical Therapy Department of Northwestern University. Committed to academic excellence, professional growth, and social responsibility, APTS-NWU serves as a platform for students to develop leadership skills, foster unity, and actively contribute to both the university and the larger community. It upholds the core values of the physical therapy profession while promoting a diverse, inclusive, and empowering environment for all members. Objectives: 1. To support and enhance the academic performance and clinical competence of physical therapy students through educational activities, workshops, and peer engagement. 2. To provide opportunities for students to build leadership skills, engage in innovative initiatives, and prepare for future roles in the profession. 3. To represent the rights and interests of students, ensuring their holistic well-being and addressing academic or institutional concerns. 4. To cultivate a culture of volunteerism and social responsibility through outreach programs and partnerships that address health and societal needs. 5. To strengthen camaraderie among students while fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for diverse voices and experiences. 6. To ensure integrity in operations by maintaining clear communication, responsible leadership, and open access to reports and decisions.
