Young diplomats are now on the rise. Recently, there has been a growing trend in the Philippines, wherein the Filipino youth have shown significant interest in joining esteemed national and international Model United Nations (MUN) events. These events foster a culture of diplomacy and international affairs, where the youth immerse themselves in the parliamentary procedures of the United Nations (UN). In this nationwide surge of interest, the Municipality of Kalibo is no exception, with various student and youth leaders participating in regional and international MUNs. Their participation and exemplary performance demonstrate the wide variety of aspirations among these young minds. However, despite this growing concern, no organization supports these young Kalibonhon diplomats. No educational institution in Kalibo has a club/organization that specifically caters to these aspiring diplomats. In light of this scarcity or lack of organizations, a group of youth leaders in the Municipality of Kalibo proposes the concept “Kalibo Diwang Diplomatiko Corps,” an organization that seeks to not only create a network of young diplomats in Kalibo but also establish a hub of excellent diplomats that will carry the name of Kalibo with honor in the regional, national, and international stage.
