Founded in September 2012, Banda Don Jose Santa Rosa began as a community band initiative led by former barangay captain, now serving as a city councilor in Sta Rosa City, Laguna, Kon Joel Aala. The primary goal of the project was to steer away youth from harmful activities and channel their talents into music and the arts, providing an avenue for personal growth and education.
