KAWSA Philippines is a youth-led organization committed to fostering civic responsibility, volunteerism, and transformative leadership among Filipino youth. Deriving its name from the Filipino word “kawsa” (cause), the organization serves as a platform for young individuals to initiate community-centered solutions and promote inclusive, sustainable development. Guided by a vision of a just and empowered society, KAWSA empowers youth to become agents of change through collaborative, value-driven, and evidence-based initiatives. Its mission is to ignite the passion and purpose of the youth by enabling them to lead programs anchored in service, integrity, and innovation. KAWSA believes that meaningful change begins at the grassroots level and is sustained through empathy, active participation, and collective action. The organization’s objectives include: (a) promoting civic engagement and social awareness among youth; (b) providing platforms for youth-led initiatives; (c) collaborating with local sectors and stakeholders; (d) fostering values of empathy, patriotism, and integrity; (e) ensuring inclusivity across socio-economic, religious, and cultural lines; (f) developing leaders committed to justice and volunteerism; (g) institutionalizing sustainable, community-based programs; and (h) advocating for youth participation in policymaking. Through these, KAWSA Philippines upholds its role as a driving force in youth empowerment and societal transformation.
