Vision: VYDO envisions a proactive and empowered youth in Viga living in a disaster-resilient and climate-adaptive community, serving as the voice and advocate of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) and Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (CCAM). Mission: To pursue and sustain the advocacy of DRRM and CCAM by empowering the youth through capacity-building and proactive participation in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts. Objectives: (1) Support National, Regional, Provincial and Local DRRM initiatives, including the Sendai Framework, AADMER, APEC DRR Framework, IDRR, ACDM, NDCM, Operation LISTO, and other relevant programs. (2) Contribute to the implementation of the NDRRMP and local DRRM plans. (3) Develop and disseminate relevant IEC materials to raise public awareness. (4) Establish partnerships with DRRM practitioners, the MDRRMO, and fellow advocates. (5) Empower the youth to be active partners in disaster preparedness, especially in planning and training. (6) Contribute to the institutionalization of DRRM programs to strengthen community readiness. (7) Participate in needs assessments and capacity-building initiatives on DRRM. (8) Promote volunteerism and resourcefulness among youth and community stakeholders. (9) Document and share best practices and lessons learned to support national and local DRRM efforts. (10) Strengthen cooperation and interoperability with LGUs and DRRM partners, with emphasis on youth engagement.
