The San Jose Oco Youth Organization is a dynamic and inclusive youth-led group based in Viga, Catanduanes, dedicated to empowering young people and fostering positive change within the community. Through collective action and active participation., the organization promotes key advocacies such as education, environmental protection, health and well-being, peacebuilding and security, good governance, active citizenship, and social inclusion and equity. Objectives: a. To promote access to quality education by encouraging learning opportunities and reducing school dropout rates in the community. b. To advance environmental stewardship through clean-up drives, sustainability initiatives, and environmental awareness campaigns. c. To improve community health and well-being by supporting health education, wellness programs, and accessible medical services. d. To foster peacebuilding community security by promoting dialogue, respect, and youth participation in maintaining a safe environment. e. To strengthen good governance and transparency by encouraging youth involvement in civic process and advocating for ethical leadership. f. To empower active citizenship by inspiring young people to engage in volunteerism and participate in local development efforts. g. To champion social inclusion and equity by ensuring equal opportunities and support for marginalized and underrepresented groups.
