Barkada Kontra Bisyo (BKB) of Cauayan City National High School is a youth-driven organization established on April 21, 2025, with the mission of cultivating a responsible, drug-free, and empowered student community. Comprising committed young individuals, BKB seeks to foster a culture of awareness, discipline, and peer support in response to the growing concerns of substance abuse and risky behaviors among the youth. Through values-based leadership, the organization aspires to create a positive influence not only within the school but also in the wider community by promoting healthy alternatives and strengthening social responsibility. BKB provides a platform for students to become active participants in meaningful programs, campaigns, and leadership initiatives. With guidance from a dedicated faculty adviser and a team of elected officers, the organization operates under a structured system that encourages accountability, collaboration, and inclusivity among its members. OBJECTIVES: 1. Promote awareness and prevention of substance abuse through educational campaigns, seminars, and interactive activities. 2. Encourage youth participation in healthy, productive engagements such as sports, arts, and leadership programs. 3. Create a safe space for dialogue and peer support where students can openly discuss issues and access guidance. 4. Build leadership, teamwork, and responsibility by empowering members to lead projects and participate in organizational governance. 5. Partner with schools and local communities in spreading advocacy efforts and organizing outreach programs that strengthen anti-drug initiatives. Together, BKB envisions a generation of students who are informed, proactive, and united in building a future free from the harms of addiction and vice.
