Balangay Bayani, with a hundred volunteers all over Bataan, is a youth-led volunteer organization/movement that started as an accredited student organization of Bataan Peninsula State University – Main Campus and Balanga Campus, and Bataan Heroes Memorial College since 2014. We are also an accredited youth organization of National Association of UNESCO Clubs in the Philippines (NAUCP), and up to present a registered youth organization of National Youth Commission’s Youth Organization Registration Program (NYC - YORP), School-based Category, for three years since 2016. The organization also became one of the 32 semi-finalists (Field Validation Qualifiers) out of a hundred entries in the 13th TAYO Awards by Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations Awards Foundation, Inc. in 2015. In line with the group’s accomplishments and active engagements - independently and in partnership with government agencies (local and national) over the years, we envision our organization to be an empowered youth group in Central Luzon with enabled young leaders engaging other youth to be responsive to development and environmental preservation. And our mission is to develop youth leaders who will be the prime movers and sectorial partners in achieving the organization’s vision through effective projects leading to a better Philippines.
