Barkada Kontra Droga: Our Vision for Rosario's Youth The Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) organization is deeply committed to nurturing a drug-free environment for the youth of Rosario, llocos Region. Our core objective is to significantly reduce the use of illegal drugs among young people by empowering them with knowledge, skills, and the resilience to resist substance abuse. We envision a generation of informed and responsible citizens who actively contribute to a healthy and safe community. The BKD achieves this through a multi-faceted approach centered on education, awareness, and peer support. We conduct engaging workshops, seminars, and campaigns to share accurate information about the dangers of drug abuse, helping young individuals make informed decisions. A key goal is to cultivate positive peer influence. We're building a network of youth advocates who champion healthy lifestyles and act as role models. By encouraging participation in extracurricular activities, sports, and community service, we offer constructive alternatives to drug involvement, fostering a strong sense of belonging and purpose. The BKD also works closely with local government, schools, and parents to create a comprehensive support system. Our ultimate aim is to cultivate a culture of responsibility, respect, and resilience among Rosario's youth, leading to a vibrant, drug-free community for years to come.
