The Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) organization seeks to integrate with the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) to strengthen youth empowerment and promote a drug-free, productive lifestyle through collaborative efforts. BKD aims to complement the LYDC’s role in formulating and implementing youth development programs by providing preventive education on drug abuse, leadership and life skills training, and livelihood opportunities. This partnership allows BKD to expand its reach and effectiveness by aligning its advocacy with the broader youth development agenda of the LYDC, ensuring that youth programs are more comprehensive, issue-based, and action-driven. Through this integration, BKD members can actively participate in local youth policymaking, contribute to the Local Youth Development Plan (LYDP), and support community-wide initiatives that foster healthy, responsible, and engaged youth sectors
