The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) is the highest student-led organization in the secondary level, duly recognized by the Department of Education. It serves as the official voice and representative body of the studentry in public junior and senior high schools. Under the guidance of teacher-advisers, the SSLG empowers learners to become active partners in nation-building through democratic participation, leadership development, and community service. The SSLG embodies the core values of Maka-Diyos, Maka-Tao, Makakalikasan, and Makabansa. It plays a vital role in promoting learner welfare, voicing concerns, initiating programs aligned with the school improvement plan, and serving as a training ground for future leaders. The organization also spearheads youth-centered projects that support education, disaster preparedness, environmental advocacy, mental health awareness, and other relevant advocacies that shape socially aware, responsible, and globally competent Filipino learners. Objectives: Promote Democratic Leadership – To encourage active participation among students in school governance and develop leadership skills based on integrity, accountability, and inclusivity. Advance Student Rights and Welfare – To represent and uphold the interests, rights, and well-being of the student body. Strengthen Learner Participation – To provide opportunities for learners to express opinions, initiate meaningful activities, and engage in decision-making processes. Foster Civic Responsibility and Social Awareness – To organize and implement relevant programs that address community issues and promote volunteerism, nationalism, and global citizenship. Support Academic and Co-Curricular Excellence – To collaborate with school stakeholders in enhancing holistic development through academic support, cultural events, and youth empowerment initiatives. Through its programs and initiatives, the SSLG shapes students to be empowered, responsible, and compassionate leaders of today and tomorrow.
