Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) is a flagship preventive education and information program institutionalized by the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) and implemented in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd). It aims to empower the youth to become proactive advocates of a healthy, drug-free lifestyle by engaging in peer-led, school-based, and community-supported activities. BKD promotes people empowerment through the formation of student groups or “barkadas” that serve as role models in resisting drug use and fostering a culture of wellness, productivity, and social responsibility.
