Governance, Active Citizenship, Environment
The Advocates of Veracity and Civic Duty (AVCD) Club is a school-based organization affiliated with the Campus Integrity Crusaders, a program initiated by the Office of the Ombudsman – Luzon. The club is committed to promoting integrity, good governance, and social responsibility among students by implementing programs, projects, and activities aligned with these core values, following the issuance of accreditation and approval by the Office. Established a year after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the AVCD Club has continuously collaborated with the Office of the Ombudsman through the annual renewal of its accreditation. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the club has remained active and resilient. Last school year, it was honored as one of the Outstanding Campus Integrity Crusader Clubs in Bulacan for successfully accomplishing all its proposed projects and initiatives. In previous years, the club typically waited for the formal accreditation process to be completed before launching its activities. As a result, project implementation often began mid-school year, limiting the time for deeper engagement and broader impact. However, this school year marks a significant shift in the club’s strategy. Recognizing the importance of timely and meaningful student engagement, the AVCD Club has taken a proactive step to initiate its programs at the beginning of the school year, even while awaiting official accreditation. This bold move aims to maximize the impact of its projects, ensure consistent value formation among students, and further strengthen its commitment to upholding the principles of integrity and civic duty. Through this early implementation approach, the club hopes to inspire a more sustained culture of honesty, accountability, and active citizenship within the school community.
