The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) is the official organization ran by secondary learners that is meant to engage and advocate for all secondary learners in the school. It is more than a council, with its role as a leader in student engagement and advocacy providing a unifying point for the many clubs and student bodies. Along with the true essence of service to others, it provides a platform for passionate student leaders to work in the community with school administration, staff, and other students, so that we can all strive together to create a wonderfully inclusive, dynamic, and empowering school. The goals of the SSLG are to engage as many learners as possible, build a strong overview to sustain student engagement and student ownership in the school, along with the development of learner potential through promoting integrity, respect, responsibility, and leadership. It provides a mechanism for secondary learners to voice concerns, create initiatives, and contribute to the larger student decision-making process within the school about their educational lives. The SSLG also has an important role to oversee and guide all of the school clubs available for secondary learners to join. It always aims to ensure that there is an opportunity for as many secondary learners as possible to explore their growth as learners through the following possible interests: academics, arts, athletics, clubs, or social advocacy.
