Education, Social Inclusion and Equity
Valenzuela DigiChamps is a youth-led organization dedicated to promoting digital literacy, responsible internet use, and technology empowerment in the local community. It is the third local installment of the Young Heroes Initiative – Digital Champions, a youth empowerment program jointly spearheaded by UNICEF Philippines, End Violence Against Children initiative, Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Positive Youth Development Network, and the Valenzuela City Government. This initiative responds to the increasing need for digital responsibility and safety among young people, addressing risks such as cyberbullying, online misinformation, and privacy violations. Using the DigiChamps: A Module Set on Instilling Digital Responsibility in Children—a comprehensive educational framework developed through co-creation with students and teachers from Valenzuela City, Angeles City, and Cagayan de Oro City. We also conduct campaigns and outreach programs that equip children and youth with the knowledge, awareness, and advocacy tools to navigate the digital world responsibly, safely, and positively. Our work aims to bridge the digital divide and empower individuals to become responsible digital citizens in an increasingly connected world.
