Tribung Bariri is a dynamic youth dance group hailing from the heart of Barangay Bono-bono, its roots firmly planted in the evocative landscape of cogon/bariri hills. This vibrant community group uses dance as a powerful means of self-expression, celebrating both the youthful energy of its members and rich cultural heritage of their mountain home. Every July, Tribung Bariri takes center stage at the Pinya Festival, showcasing their unique blend of traditional and contemporary dance styles. The group name TRIBUNG BARIRI evokes the spirit of mountain tribe, reflecting the strong sense of community and shared identity amongst its member. Their choreography draws inspiration from the natural beauty and rugged terrain of the cogon/bariri hills incorporating movements that mimic the sway of cogon grass in the wind, the strength of the mountain itself, and the resilience of its people. Tribung Bariri foster a sense of belonging and empowerment among its young members. Allowing young people to develop their talents, build confidence and connect with their cultural heritage.
