The Rotaract Club of Ateneo de Naga University, a university-based organization in Naga City, Philippines, was officially chartered on March 13, 2017, under the sponsorship of the Rotary Club of Naga, Rotary International District 3820. Since then, it has become a vital platform for student leaders to exercise civic responsibility and deepen their commitment to service, all while embodying Rotary’s enduring motto, “Service Above Self.” The club organizes and implements service projects grounded in Rotary’s seven areas of focus—ranging from peace and conflict prevention to environmental protection—which are designed not only to address urgent social concerns but also to promote long-term sustainability and relevance. While the club prioritizes community-centered engagement, it also provides its members with opportunities for professional development, leadership training, and meaningful collaboration through local and international networks, thereby shaping well-rounded individuals committed to positive change. Anchored in the vision of establishing a community of student leaders who uphold service through friendship and collaboration, the club strives to cultivate a culture of purposeful engagement both within and beyond the university. By involving new, current, and potential members in projects that align with their personal goals and humanitarian ideals, the club strengthens its internal cohesion while contributing meaningfully to the communities it serves. Furthermore, it actively seeks partnerships with other organizations, believing that impactful service is best achieved through collective action and shared leadership. As the club continues to evolve, it remains committed to its mission of organizing relevant initiatives, nurturing enduring partnerships, and empowering student leaders to make a difference—affirming that leadership rooted in empathy, integrity, and cooperation can transform not only communities but also the individuals who serve them.
