Active Citizenship

The Parish Youth Council (PYC) of Larena is the official youth ministry organization under the local Catholic parish in Larena, Siquijor. It serves as a dynamic community of young people committed to deepening their faith, promoting Christian values, and actively participating in the mission of the Church. The council organizes spiritual, social, and community outreach activities that aim to empower the youth, strengthen their relationship with God, and encourage active involvement in parish life. Through leadership, service, and fellowship, the PYC of Larena plays a vital role in nurturing the next generation of Catholic leaders. The PYC Larena shall have the following objectives: (a) Foster personal and communal growth in faith among the youth; (b) Promote leadership, responsibility, and active involvement of young people in the parish; (c) Provide opportunities for fellowship, service, and evangelization; (d) Respond to the moral, social, and spiritual needs of the youth; and (e) Strengthen collaboration with parish organizations, ministries, and the wider community.
