Preserve Life – The primary goal of a first Aider is to keep the injured or ill person alive. This includes administrating life-saving techniques like CPR or stopping severe bleeding. Prevent the Condition from Worsening - First aid aims to stabilize the patient’s condition and prevent further injury or complications. This may include immobilizing a broken limb, cooling burns, or controlling bleeding. Promote Recovery - First Aiders help by ensuring comfort, proper positioning, and assurance, which contributes to the person’s recovery process while waiting for medical professionals. Provide Immediate and Appropriate Care – First Aiders deliver prompt treatment based on their training and available resources, helping bridge the gap before emergency service arrives. Ensure Safety – A first aider must also secure the scene of the incident to prevent further harm to themselves, the victim, or bystanders.
