Health, Education, Social Inclusion and Equity

The Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) of San Rafael Technical Vocational High School is the official co- curricular organization that empowers learners to become advocates of a drug-free lifestyle. Rooted in the values of leadership, service, and active citizenship, BKD inspires students to live with discipline, responsibility, and integrity while promoting a safe, healthy, and inclusive school environment. Formed by committed student leaders and members, BKD collaborates with the school administration, faculty, and other organizations to uphold student welfare, raise awareness on the dangers of drug abuse, and initiate impactful programs. It seeks to strengthen the character and leadership skills of learners while actively engaging them in school- and community-based initiatives. BKD also serves as a channel for student expression, ensuring that the voice of the youth contributes to building a drug-free community. Through campaigns and projects addressing health, wellness, academic excellence, socio-cultural awareness, and environmental responsibility, BKD plays a vital role in shaping disciplined, value-oriented, and proactive learners. Objectives: 1. Promote a drug-free lifestyle and protect the welfare of students. 2. Strengthen leadership, unity, discipline, and civic responsibility among learners. 3. Encourage active participation in school and community programs that foster positive values. 4. Plan and implement initiatives that support academic growth, health awareness, environmental protection, and cultural appreciation. 5. Serve as role models of integrity, accountability, and responsibility. 6. Build strong partnerships with the school administration and other organizations in achieving shared advocacy goals. 7. Develop skills and values necessary for responsible citizenship and future leadership. The BKD remains committed to living drug-free, leading with purpose, and creating a positive impact on every learner’s life.
