The Criminal Justice Student Society (CJSS) is the recognized student organization of the Criminology Department at Jose Rizal University. It serves as the official policy-making body for criminology students in matters related to academics, welfare, and student activities. Guided by the principles of nationalism, scientific advancement, and global hospitality, CJSS is committed to developing competent, socially responsible, and globally competitive future criminal justice professionals. CJSS works to unite all criminology students into a cohesive body that actively participates in academic, athletic, and socio- civic activities. It fosters close collaboration among students, faculty, administrators, and staff to create a supportive and dynamic learning environment. The organization also partners with internal and external groups that share similar goals, extending its impact beyond the university. Objectives: 1. Promote and realize the mission statement of Jose Rizal University. 2. Protect the legitimate rights, welfare, and interests of students while recognizing the rights of faculty and staff. 3. Uphold academic freedom and integrity in all student endeavors. 4. Unite students through shared goals, aspirations, and cooperative activities. 5. Foster strong ties between students, faculty, administrators, and service personnel. 6. Participate actively in activities with other recognized organizations on and off campus. 7. Support academic and athletic competitions that enhance skills and camaraderie. 8. Organize seminars, symposia, and other learning activities to promote intellectual growth and civic responsibility. 9. Coordinate with local, national, and international organizations that share CJSS’s principles. 10. Raise student awareness and responsiveness to school, community, national, and global issues. Through these objectives, the CJSS aims to empower criminology students not only to excel academically but also to become active contributors to peace, justice, and nation-building.
