Education
Tanghalang Sinemaria is the official theater and film organization of Sta. Maria National High School that serves as a creative avenue for students to explore and develop their artistic talents while embodying the values of being Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan, and Makabansa. It envisions theater and cinema as powerful tools for education, character formation, and social transformation. The organization seeks to promote creative expression and enhance the skills of its members in acting, directing, scriptwriting, stagecraft, and film production, while also instilling values that strengthen faith, compassion, environmental awareness, and patriotism. Through stage plays, short films, workshops, and advocacy-driven performances, Tanghalang Sinemaria inspires learners to reflect on meaningful issues affecting the self, community, and nation. It strives to foster a deeper appreciation of Philippine culture and history, advocate for social and environmental responsibility, and encourage collaboration, leadership, and teamwork among students. Guided by its mission to unite art and purpose, Tanghalang Sinemaria is committed to using the stage and screen not only as platforms for creativity but also as instruments for building character, promoting cultural identity, and creating positive change in the school and the community.
