The CCC Peer Support Group is a dynamic and compassionate organization composed of 46 dedicated members for the academic year 2025–2026. These members serve as mental health advocates, aiming to foster a supportive and empathetic campus environment. As paraprofessionals affiliated with the Guidance Office, they are trained to offer peer-based assistance, emotional first aid, and active listening to students facing personal, academic, or mental health challenges. The group functions as an extension of the Guidance Office, helping to bridge the gap between students and professional support services. While they do not offer therapy or clinical advice, CCC Peer Support Group members are equipped to guide peers toward appropriate resources and encourage help-seeking behaviors. Their presence reinforces the message that no student is alone and that mental wellness is a shared responsibility within the academic community. A cornerstone of the group’s engagement is the monthly “Kamustahan”—a check-in session designed to promote open dialogue, community bonding, and mental health awareness. These sessions offer a safe space for members to share experiences, discuss mental health topics, and encourage one another in their advocacy work. Through these consistent interactions, the group nurtures trust and emotional resilience among its members. Objectives: - To promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma within the campus. - To provide peer-based support through active listening and compassionate engagement. - To serve as a bridge between students and the Guidance Office for further mental health assistance. - To strengthen group cohesion and support through monthly “Kamustahan” sessions, workshops, and seminars.
