LIKHA: LIngkod Kabataan Hatid ay Aruga is a community-based organization of young mothers in Barangay Mabini, dedicated to fostering care, empowerment, and mutual support. Formed to address the unique challenges of young motherhood, LIKHA serves as a safe space where members can share experiences, access resources, and develop skills that uplift their families and the wider community. The organization is guided by the principles of compassion, service, and resilience, ensuring that young mothers are not left behind but instead nurtured to become active contributors to society. Beyond providing support for maternal and child care, LIKHA also champions youth development, livelihood opportunities, and values formation, envisioning a barangay where young families thrive with dignity and hope. Objectives Empowerment of Young Mothers – To equip members with knowledge, skills, and confidence through training, seminars, and capacity-building activities. Health and Well-being – To promote maternal, child, and family health by coordinating with health professionals and conducting awareness campaigns. Support and Solidarity – To build a network of peer support among young mothers, encouraging mutual assistance and emotional well-being. Education and Skills Development – To provide opportunities for continuing education, livelihood training, and personal growth programs for members. Community Engagement – To encourage active participation of young mothers in barangay projects and initiatives that promote peace, order, and development. Youth and Child Welfare – To safeguard the rights and welfare of children while promoting responsible and nurturing parenthood. Sustainability – To establish livelihood and income-generating projects that support the financial stability of young mothers and their families. Through these objectives, LIKHA envisions empowered young mothers who uplift not only their families but also contribute meaningfully to the progress of Barangay Mabini.
