The Aklan Provincial Youth Officials program provides selected Aklanon youth with the opportunity to assume both executive and legislative roles in the Provincial Government for a period of five (5) days. As executive counterparts, they shadow the Governor, Vice Governor, and Provincial Department Heads in the performance of their official duties and functions. As legislative counterparts, they act as members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan where they will create youthcentered resolutions anchored on the Ten (10) Centers of Participation of the Provincial Youth Development Plan (PYDP). The Youth Officials shall convene in a mock session to deliberate and pass proposed resolutions. These resolutions shall then be formally delivered to the actual Sangguniang Panlalawigan for review and possible adoption. This program ensures that the voices of young Aklanons are recognized in the policy-making process and that they gain hands-on experience in both governance and legislation
