Education, Social Inclusion and Equity, Peace-Building and Security, Governance, Active Citizenship
The Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) – Davao City Federation is a community-based youth organization composed of in-school youth, out-of-school youth, and youth with special needs aged 15-30 years old. It is supported by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), operating in all barangays and districts of Davao City. PYAP serves as a platform for youth empowerment through leadership training, skills development, community involvement, and advocacy. It promotes active youth participation in addressing issues such as unemployment, education, mental health, drug prevention, and environmental protection. The federation aims to build responsible, value-driven, and self-reliant youth who contribute positively to their communities and to the nation. Objectives: 1. To unite the youth sector of Davao City under one inclusive, empowered, and purpose-driven organization. 2. To develop the leadership skills and moral values of the youth through seminars, workshops, and community-based programs. 3. To support out-of-school youth and disadvantaged youth by connecting them to opportunities in education, livelihood, and personal development. 4. To engage youth in meaningful participation in local governance, civic affairs, and environmental advocacy. 5. To strengthen partnerships with government agencies, private sectors, and other youth-serving organizations for sustainable programs. 6. To create a safe, supportive space where the youth can express themselves, learn, and grow. PYAP Davao City Federation envisions a future where every young person is a proactive leader, an advocate for change, and a partner in nation-building.
