The objectives of an SK Tanod or Youth Eco Aide in Brgy. Dagatan are deeply rooted in community service, youth empowerment, and environmental sustainability. As young leaders and volunteers under the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), their primary role involves assisting barangay officials in maintaining peace and order. This includes enforcing curfews, monitoring public safety during community events, and promoting discipline among the youth. They serve as the “eyes and ears” of the barangay—reporting any suspicious activities or disturbances to the proper authorities and helping prevent petty crimes or conflicts, especially among the youth sector. Beyond these specific duties, the overarching goal of the SK Tanod and Youth Eco Aide is to foster a culture of volunteerism, responsibility, and community awareness among the youth. By engaging in civic duties, they develop leadership skills, accountability, and a deeper connection to their community. Through their service, they make meaningful contributions to peace, order, and environmental well-being in Brgy. Dagatan.
