Environment

Established in 1995, the Environmental Science Student Association (ESSA) is the official student organization of Environmental Science students at Palawan State University. For three decades, ESSA has served as a platform for collaboration, learning, and advocacy, bringing together undergraduate and graduate students who share a common passion for protecting and managing the environment. ESSA provides opportunities for students to actively engage in research, extension, and community-based initiatives that address pressing environmental issues at local, national, and global levels. By organizing/co-organizing seminars, workshops, and field activities, the association helps members gain practical knowledge and skills essential for their academic and professional growth. Beyond academics, ESSA builds a culture of service and leadership. It empowers students to become proactive advocates of sustainability by partnering with government agencies, non-government organizations, and local communities. Through its activities, the association not only strengthens environmental awareness but also nurtures future environmental scientists, leaders, and changemakers. Guided by its mission to advance environmental science and promote responsible action, ESSA continues to be a force within the university and the broader community. It stands as a testament to the commitment of Palawan State University students to safeguard natural resources, champion climate resilience, and inspire collective action for a greener and sustainable future.
