BANTAYOG is a youth-led environmental organization based in Maitum, Sarangani Province, established with the mission to protect, preserve, and promote environmental sustainability and cultural heritage. The organization serves as a dynamic platform for young individuals who share a common goal of fostering a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable community. The name “BANTAYOG,” which symbolizes remembrance, strength, and unity, reflects the group’s commitment to stand as a pillar of hope and resilience for both people and nature. BANTAYOG envisions a community where the youth play an active role in environmental conservation and development. Through its diverse programs and activities, the organization encourages collective action, volunteerism, and environmental education. It seeks to engage not only students and youth groups but also local stakeholders, schools, and government institutions to take part in sustainable efforts that address pressing environmental issues such as pollution, climate change, and biodiversity loss. As a united group of passionate young leaders, BANTAYOG believes that small, consistent actions can lead to significant change.
