The Solsona National High School Red Cross Youth (RCY) Council is a youth-led organization dedicated to promoting humanitarian values, health awareness, and community service among students. Guided by the principles of the Philippine Red Cross, the council serves as an avenue for young volunteers to actively participate in programs that uphold compassion, safety, and service to others. Within the school, the RCY Council plays a vital role in fostering awareness on health, safety, and first aid. Members conduct information drives, lectures, and outreach programs that encourage students to practice proper hygiene, disease prevention, and healthy living. They also assist during school activities, ensuring that safety measures are followed and that first-aid support is readily available when needed. The council helps nurture a culture of discipline, leadership, and volunteerism among its members, empowering them to become responsible youth leaders and role models for their peers. Beyond the school grounds, the Solsona NHS RCY Council extends its service to the local community by taking part in clean-up drives, blood donation campaigns, and emergency response initiatives. Through these efforts, the council demonstrates the true spirit of volunteerism—helping others without expecting anything in return. Ultimately, the Solsona National High School – Red Cross Youth Council stands as a symbol of youth empowerment and unity. Its members embody the Red Cross values of humanity, impartiality, and voluntary service, continuously striving to make a positive difference in the lives of their fellow students and in the wider Solsona community.
