Tau Gamma Phi, also known as the Triskelions’ Grand Fraternity, is a prominent fraternal organization founded on October 4, 1968, at the University of the Philippines Diliman. Established by 16 visionary students, the fraternity was created to promote a strong sense of brotherhood, discipline, and service among the youth. Since its founding, Tau Gamma Phi has grown into one of the largest fraternities in the Philippines and abroad, with thousands of members united by their shared principles and commitment to personal and social development. The fraternity’s guiding motto, “It’s not the years in your life that count, but the life in your years,” reflects its belief that a meaningful life is one dedicated to purpose, leadership, and service to others. Tau Gamma Phi aims to build a community of Triskelions who uphold the values of integrity, loyalty, and equality. The fraternity promotes genuine brotherhood that transcends social and economic boundaries, emphasizing respect, unity, and cooperation among its members. Discipline serves as a core foundation, guiding Triskelions to act with responsibility, self-control, and honor in all aspects of life. Leadership development is also a key objective, as the fraternity encourages its members to become competent and ethical leaders who can inspire change and contribute to the progress of society. Beyond brotherhood, Tau Gamma Phi is deeply committed to community service and nation-building. Through various outreach programs, environmental initiatives, and humanitarian efforts, the fraternity strives to make a positive impact on the lives of others. It advocates for equal opportunity, justice, and the empowerment of the youth. Ultimately, Tau Gamma Phi continues to stand as a symbol of unity, discipline, and service—instilling in every Triskelion the lifelong mission to lead, serve, and uphold the true essence of fraternity and humanity.
