The Bag-ong Tarragona Youth Movement (BTYM) is a community-based youth organization established on August 24, 2025, in Tarragona, Davao Oriental. The organization envisions a dynamic, empowered, and united youth sector that actively participates in local development and nation-building. BTYM’s mission is to mobilize and develop the youth of Tarragona through leadership training, sports development, civic engagement, and meaningful participation in community programs. It provides opportunities for young individuals to strengthen leadership skills, promote health and wellness, and foster volunteerism and patriotism. Among its objectives are to: • Strengthen youth leadership and participation in local governance; • Promote sports, health, and wellness among the youth; • Organize educational, cultural, and recreational activities for youth development; • Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and other partners in promoting youth welfare; and • Encourage discipline, volunteerism, and active community involvement. Through these initiatives, BTYM seeks to empower the young people of Tarragona to become responsible, proactive, and socially engaged citizens who contribute meaningfully to the betterment of their community and the nation.
