The Federation of Tagum City Junior Youth Officials was institutionalized through RA 10742. Each appointed TCJYO for the year shall form an organization that serves as the forefront of promoting the rights and welfare of the youth. It shall also stand as a model of youth excellence—grounded in good character and a deep sense of moral values. As the Tagum City Junior Youth Official shall have the following objectives: • To represent the youth in the policy-making body of the Community concerning the inclusivity, rights and welfare; • To nurture an inclusive, service-oriented, gender-sensitive, and environment conscious community; • To help develop self-confidence, critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and learning among the young youth and to utilize these skills in contributing towards nation building; • To empower the youth to strive for excellence in the academics, leadership, and social responsibility; to encourage the youth to be proactive catalyst of change in the society; • To serve, to protect, and to promote the rights and welfare of every youth.
