The Looc Active Youth Organization (L.A.Y.O.) is a community-based youth organization committed to developing responsible, compassionate, and empowered young leaders within Barangay Looc. Guided by its core values of Empowerment, Unity, Service, and Growth, the organization provides meaningful avenues for youth participation, leadership development, and community engagement. L.A.Y.O. envisions a generation of confident and service-oriented young individuals capable of contributing to positive transformation within their community through collaboration, initiative, and civic responsibility. In pursuit of its Vision and Mission, L.A.Y.O. strives to cultivate an environment where the youth are encouraged to take active roles in decision-making, volunteer efforts, and community-building activities. By providing structured programs, inclusive opportunities, and leadership platforms, the organization seeks to strengthen the capacity of youth to become catalysts for sustainable change. L.A.Y.O. also upholds the importance of continuous learning and adapts to the evolving needs of the community by fostering a culture of reflection, innovation, and mutual support. Objectives ?To empower the youth by promoting self-confidence, leadership capacity, independence, and initiative through training, engagement, and participatory activities. ?To foster unity and collaboration among members and the broader community by encouraging respect, teamwork, shared responsibility, and collective action. ?To uphold the spirit of service by creating opportunities for meaningful volunteer work, civic participation, and community-centered initiatives that contribute to the common good. ?To promote continuous growth and development by supporting programs that enhance knowledge, skills, and personal development, ensuring that both the youth and the organization continue to adapt and improve. ?To build an inclusive and vibrant community where every young person feels valued, supported, and empowered to contribute to the progress and well-being of Barangay Looc.
