UP Calambeños is a student organization established to create a strong and supportive community among Calambeños studying at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). Rooted in the shared identity and pride of being from Calamba, Laguna, the organization serves as a home away from home for students who seek connection, camaraderie, and collective growth during their university journey. It recognizes that transitioning to university life can be both exciting and challenging—especially for students living away from their hometown—and thus aims to provide a space where members can find belonging, encouragement, and inspiration. UP Calambeños not only fosters unity among Calamba-based students but also seeks to celebrate and preserve the rich cultural heritage of Calamba. Through various programs and activities, the organization highlights the values of community service, leadership, and academic excellence, reflecting the ideals of both the city and the university. It envisions producing well-rounded individuals who are not only proud Calambeños but also active contributors to the nation’s progress. Objectives: ? To build a supportive community among Calambeño students in UPLB by fostering friendship, cooperation, and mutual understanding. ? To promote cultural identity and pride by organizing activities that showcase Calamba’s heritage, history, and contributions to Philippine society. ? To assist members in their academic and personal growth through peer mentoring, capacity-building workshops, and leadership opportunities. ? To engage in community service initiatives that extend the spirit of volunteerism and civic responsibility to both the UPLB and Calamba communities. ? To strengthen collaboration with other organizations and institutions that share similar goals, thereby expanding opportunities for members to grow socially and professionally.
