Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) is a peer-based school organization that promotes a drug-free lifestyle among learners. It empowers students to become advocates of healthy living, champions of positive behavior, and partners of the school and community in preventing substance abuse through education, awareness, and supportive activities.OBJECTIVES OF BKD Promote Drug Awareness Equip learners with accurate information about the dangers of drug abuse and its effects on health, family, and society. Strengthen Positive Peer Influence Encourage students to support one another in making healthy, responsible, and drug-free choices. Develop Responsible Citizenship Foster leadership, self-discipline, and social responsibility among the youth. Initiate Preventive and Advocacy Programs Conduct campaigns, trainings, and activities that discourage drug use and support early intervention. Build Partnerships with the Community Work with parents, teachers, government, and NGOs to create a safe, supportive, and drug-free environment. Promote Holistic Well-Being Advocate for physical, mental, and emotional wellness in school.
