The Batang Empowered and Resilient Team of Mariveles National High School Camaya Campus seeks to raise a generation of learners not only with academic competency but also disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) knowledge and skills. The main aim is to empower learners with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. This includes DRRM education, experiential training, and community action to develop resilience and active participation. The group aims to incorporate DRRM principles in the school curriculum and extracurricular life. During workshops, simulations, and drills, students acquire skills related to hazard identification, risk assessment, emergency response procedures, and first aid. The program aims at strengthening students' capacity to comprehend local disaster hazards, establish preparedness plans, and adopt suitable responses during emergencies. In addition, it seeks to instill a safety and resilience culture in students and make them encourage each other as well as positively impact community-based DRRM initiatives. In the end, the Batang Empowered and Resilient Team dreams of producing holistic individuals who can defend themselves, their families, and their communities from the effects of disasters. By investing their time in learning about DRRM and being prepared, the team hopes to educate students to become responsible and proactive citizens, able to make significant contributions towards ensuring safer and more resilient communities amidst natural hazards
