Education, Environment
The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) is a school-based co-curricular organization committed to promoting environmental awareness, protection, and sustainable action among students. It serves as the central coordinating body for all environmental initiatives within the school, implementing social, civic, intellectual, and science-based programs that educate and mobilize the youth toward ecological responsibility. Guided by the principles of environmental stewardship and community participation, YES-O functions as both an advocacy group and a working arm for implementing tangible solutions to pressing environmental concerns. YES-O provides students with leadership opportunities through organized committees, campaigns, and projects that address issues such as waste management, recycling, pollution reduction, and biodiversity protection. The organization actively collaborates with government agencies, non-government institutions, and other school-based YES-O chapters to expand its reach and impact. Objectives: 1. Promote environmental awareness among students and the school community regarding the state of the Philippine environment and current ecological concerns. 2. Develop and implement concrete environmental programs and projects that address local environmental challenges. 3. Collaborate with external organizations for support, partnership, and knowledge exchange in environmental initiatives. 4. Encourage active participation and volunteerism in environmental campaigns, clean-up drives, tree planting, conservation efforts, and sustainability advocacies. 5. Instill proper environmental values, discipline, and responsibility among members through continuous involvement in ecological movements and research-based initiatives
